By Our Correspondence, Bhairahawa, Mar. 22: A housing project costing Rs. 4 billion has begun, which aims to build a well-facilitated contemporary settlement at Basantapur of Siddharthanagar.

Bodhi Holding Pvt. Ltd. has taken initiative to complete the project, dubbed as Bodhi homes within the next four years.

Under the project, over 300 houses will be built along a 1.5 kilometre stretch starting from Bhairahawa’s Devkota Chowk, as per Jaleshwore Pandey, chairman of Bodhi Holding.

The housing facility, upon completion, will have a 24-hour security guard facility and CCTV surveillance along with a community house, kindergarten, health club, swimming pool, basketball court, grocery shop, sauna, steam bath, water purification, and organised parking space.

Targeted to the middle-income earners, the project has segregated properties in two categories. In the first category, a two-and-a-half storey house of 2,333 square feet spread across 11 to 13 dhur of land is available at a cost of Rs. 16 million.

The consumers also have the option to buy a 2,697 square feet house in 14 to 17 dhur of land at Rs. 19 million.

According to Dinbandhu Pokharel, Managing Director of the company, 15 houses have been booked by prospective buyers, most of whom are Kathmandu-residents.
