By Our Correspondent, Kavre, Apr 8: The district administration of Kavre has decided to open banks and financial institutions operating in the district for four days to resolve the problems seen in the supply and transportation of essential commodities in the local market.
This decision was taken by a joint meeting called by Chief District Officer Srawan Kumar Timilsina with the representatives of district Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and bankers on Wednesday.
As per the decision, all banks and financial institutions operating in the district will be open from April 9 to 12.
Chief district officer Timilsina said that all banks and financial institutions operating in the district would provide their service from 11 am to 1 pm from April 9 to 12.
“Banks were opening their branches in rotation during this lockdown period, but the decision of opening all banks and financial institutions was made after the traders and industrialists registered complaints of facing problems in the import and transportation of essential goods in absence of banking services,” Timlisina said.
The meeting has also decided to coordinate with district administration of Sindhuplanchok and Dolakha for the opening of banks and financial institutions in respective districts to facilitate supply of essential goods and services.
