1,531 new cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 5: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Monday confirmed 1,531 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.

In 13,781 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,531 persons, 647 females and 884 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.

Of the 1,531 new cases,1,178 cases including 484 females and 694 males were detected in Kathmandu, 103 cases including 49 females and 54 males were found in Bhaktapur and 250 cases including 114 females and 136 males were recorded in Lalitpur.

Moreover, some new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Monday, taking the national tally to 89,263 including 65,202 cases of recovery and 554 death cases.
