Kathmandu Valley logs 1,746 new cases of COVID-19

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 17: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Saturday confirmed 1,746 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.

In 15,438 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,746 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the 1,746 new cases, 1,451 were detected in Kathmandu, 143 were found in Bhaktapur and  152 were recorded in Lalitpur.

Moreover, 3,167 some new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Saturday, taking the national tally to 129,304 including 89,840 cases of recoveries and 727 death cases.
