Kathmandu Valley records 647 new cases of COVID-19

By TRN OnlineKathmandu, Sept. 22: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Tuesday confirmed 647 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.

In 11,154 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 647 persons, 222 females and 425 males, were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.

Of the 647 new cases, 511 cases including 173 females and 338 males were detected in Kathmandu, 63 cases including 22 females and 41  males were found in Bhaktapur and 73 cases including 27 females and 46 males were recorded in Lalitpur.

Moreover, some 1,356 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Tuesday, taking the national tally to 66,632 including 48,061 cases of recovery and 429 death cases.
