Kathmandu Valley records 186 new cases of COVID-19

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 29: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Saturday confirmed 186 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.

In 11,516 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 186 persons were found with the virus infection in the Valley itself, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

Of the new cases, 155 were detected in Kathmandu, 19 were detected in Lalitpur and 12 were detected in Bhaktapur.

Moreover, some 884 COVID-19 cases were recorded across the nation on Saturday taking the national tally to 37,340.
