Global Dignity Day on Wednesday

By Staff Reporter
Kathmandu, Oct. 20: Global Dignity Nepal in partnership with Kids of Kathmandu is going to mark the Global Dignity Day by conducting virtual Dignity workshop among youth activists from all over country.
Hundreds of thousands of young people around the world will participate in Global Dignity Day, an annual celebration organised by international non-profit Global Dignity, read a statement issued by Global Dignity Nepal.
Cynthia Guyer, Global Dignity Executive Director said, “2020 is a year we will never forget. Like an X-ray on every society, COVID-19 has exposed deep inequities and injustices.
At the heart of these challenges is the notion of dignity and the value of each and every human life. Global Dignity’s work around the world -- to inspire everyone, everywhere to embrace our shared humanity -- is critical to breaking down legacies of hate, prejudice and violence, and to build communities rooted in justice and compassion. We have never needed dignity, love and a sense of unity more than now.”
Bhushan Dahal, Country chair for Global Dignity Nepal, said, “We have been conducting Dignity workshop through out the year in several educational intuitions. We believe, living a dignified life is itself a life style and if we could educate this to kids at early age, world will be better place.”
