Kathmandu, Jan. 20: Chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed cadres to immediately reconstitute all party committees at the district and people’s organisation levels.  Stating that the parliament wouldn’t be reinstated at any cost, PM Oli urged the party leaders and workers not to harbour suspicion about the prospect of elections.
PM Oli made such remarks while addressing a gathering of leading party workers from NCP Nuwakot in the capital on Tuesday.
Chairman Oli has asked all the party leaders and workers to be active and go among the people, as the date of the election has been announced following the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
“The principles we have adopted are right. Our united efforts are necessary for the prosperity of the country. Therefore, I request you all to be dynamic in the party purification campaign for the country’s prosperity,” said PM Oli.
Stating that during the unification, the party had adopted the ideology of “people’s democracy” under the guidance of the main thought of “people’s multiparty democracy”,
Chairman Oli said, “This could be gradually revised. Those seeking to split the party do not have any ideology.”
Referring to the rival faction, PM Oli claimed that some leaders were trying to provoke the youth by talking about violence.
“The government and the party don’t believe in violence but believe in the judgment of people. We are in favour of peaceful political activities,” he added.
