Kathmandu, Sept. 12: With the beginning of the lockdown, many celebrities have shown their generosity towards the needy people.
After the lockdown enforced on March 24, a few Nepali celebrities started helping the people affected by the lockdown. Many people were also affected by landslides and floods triggered by the monsoon rains during and after the lockdown.
Amidst the natural disasters and pandemic, actor Paul Shah has been active in social work. Paul had provided money and food to the technicians working in the film industry.
Now he is busy helping the flood victims of Baglung. On Thursday, he distributed relief to the flood-affected families in Dhorpatan Municipality, Baglung.
Paul, who reached Baglung along with singer Durgesh Thapa, provided food, blanket, mattress and Rs. 50,000 in cash to the affected people.
He handed over the relief materials to Dhorpatan Municipality Mayor Dev Kumar Nepali and chairmen of Ward Nos. 8 and 9.
According to Paul, it was very difficult to reach the flood-affected areas and due to the one-door policy of the local government, relief materials could not be provided to the victims directly.
However, Paul and his team are trying to reach out to all victims, he said.
